2017 NBA Finals

All the talk is about KD and LeBron but although it is a long awaited match up, it will not be all about them. Observing and taking stats from the two times the Cavs and the Warriors went against each other this year of regular season. Christmas day of last year was the first time of regular season the two teams competed. Cavaliers hosted and won by a point, 109-108. LeBron lead the Cavs with 31 points. Both teams when played at home out rebounded the opponent. Cleveland finished with sixty rebounds in total and the Warriors finished with fifty-one rebounds. The Warriors outnumbered the Cavs by a gap in turnovers, Warriors had twenty turnovers to the Cavs twelve. If the Warriors come out with that turnover ratio tonight that will definitely put them at risk to lose the game.

The two teams met again January 16th of this year, Warriors hosted and won by thirty-five, 91-126. Durant did not play the entire game, but was the second leading scorer with 21 points following behind Thompson with twenty-six. James lead the Cavs with 20 points. January's game Cleveland's rebound total was 45 to Golden State's 69. Both teams had fairly the same amount of turnovers in this game with Cleveland having 15 and Golden State having 17.

The key to this series is going to be the bench for both teams. Seeing the numbers and being able to compare them gives an idea where the series may go, they say numbers do not lie but numbers are not a factor when it comes down to a man and his determination for that ship.
