The Wait Is Over

ORLANDO, FL. -- After months of waiting to see who would be the starting quarterback for Alabama Crimson Tide the wait is over.

The tide started Tua Tagovailoa in the Camping World Kickoff against Louisville on Saturday night.

The entire summer the quarterback starting position was the talk. Alabama athletics did a fine job of keeping the situation under control.

Each time coach Nick Saban was questioned about the position, he focused on getting the message of competing out.

Although Saban made the final decision Thursday, the team had a voice in the process of making the decision.

"Winning over the team," Saban repeatedly stated referring to the two quarterbacks.

For the first time, the public was able to get a glimpse of what 2017-18 starting quaterback, Jalen Hurts' thoughts of the competition between himself and Tagovailoa. He also expressed how he felt in how the situation was being handled in early August.

After the 51-14 victory coach, quarterbacks being the least of concern Saban said he would continue to use both quarterbacks moving forward.

The Saturday night game, Crimson Tide had many penalties, mostly coming from the defense. Saban was dismay with the mental error players acted on that caused so many penalties.

Moving forward Saban explained they will not be able to make those types of error on the upcoming teams they are scheduled to play.

The Crimson Tide will play Arkansas State next Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa at 2:30 CT.
